Boosey & Hawkes Imperial 926 A Clarinet
This excellent condition Imperial 926 A Clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The last owner of this fine clarinet has taken exceptional care of it, and she used it throughout her studies in music at the University of York. The Imperial 926 was manufactured as a professional quality instrument on a par with the Imperial Symphony 1010, but with a bore of 15.0mm, as opposed to the 15.25mm of the 1010.
This A, with matching serial nos. 498572, has excellent condition wood, with no cracks or repairs, only one tiny nick to the bell rim, see photo 8. The Silver plate shows no wear, it is in fine condition throughout, as befits this late manufactured example, dating to 1979/80. The pads are fish skin which are lightly used, and in very good condition. The logo stamps are all bright, and all pieces are matching and original. The double case is much used, with some interior wear, it latches securely & comes with dust cover.
