Boosey & Co. Clinton Clarinet in B Flat
An excellent condition Boosey & Co. Clinton system Bb clarinet in ebonite. This clariet has been professionally owned and played here in the UK by a Jazz player. This instrument is named for George Clinton who promoted this system as a big improvement of the standard simple system. As he was the clarinet professor at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, in Twickenham. this model found a great number of devotees in the UK. Pat Ryan used this system as Principal Clarinet of the Halle Orchestra right up until the 1950s. This example has matching serial numbers 26890, which dates to the 1920s, and has no cracks or damage to the body. The fish skin pads are all "as new" with a couple in cork. The m'piece is a No. 2 B&H 593 and the case, though not original is in good condition & protects the clarinet well.
