Leblanc, Paris, 440 B Flat Clarinet
This is a Leblanc, Paris, 440, Bb clarinet which probably dates to the early 1960's. It is an enhanced Boehm with 7 rings enabling a LH fork Eb/Bb. The bore is of medium large size at 14.80mm. The clarinet is a commission sale.
The Bb has serial nos. 13642, and is in good condition for its' age. The German Silver key work shows a natural patina, and some wear mainly to the RH rings. There are no cracks or damage to the wood. The pads are all used fish skin, but show only moderate wear and are sealing well. All pieces are matching and original. The case is a brand new modern example. The m'piece is an excellent condition Selmer GoldenTone No.3. The clarinet plays with a fine, full sound and good intonation. It would suit a player looking for a professional model on a budget.
