Selmer, Series 10, B Flat Clarinet
The Selmer Series 10 was the first of the narrow bore, heavily undercut Selmer clarinets which owed much of their design ethos to the Buffet R13. This Bb has serial numbers, S/N X5000/Y3367 , dating to 1973-4, i.e. one of the joints was a replacement, and is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The top joint also has 2 cracks, one of which, on the rear, has pinned pinned and sealed. The clarinet has used leather pads fitted throughout, and has been down to our workshop for a "check over" and touch and tenon corks replaced as necessary. The case is a B&H in fair condition. The m'piece is the original Selmer Series 10. This instrument represents outstanding value for money, as for less than the price of a cheap student plastic clarinet, one can purchase a top of the line Selmer professional model.
