Selmer, Bass Clarinet, to low C
This is an excellent condition Mark 1 Selmer, Paris, Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low C, the first model Selmer 33 Bass. The original and sole owner was an extremely successful top London professional, who had one of the largest collections of clarinets & saxophones in the business. This was one of 4 top professional Bass clarinets he owned. It has been maintained very carefully, and has had little use. The Nickel Silver plate throughout is in excellent condition. Likewise the wood throughout is in pristine condition, with no cracks, repairs, or any other damage. The pads are tan leather with some new, and some more elderly, the Bass plays perfectly and should be maintenance free for some time to come. The bell and crook, show no dings or dents, again both are in in fine condition. All touch & tenon corks are in good condition and the key work and regulation are precise and even. This Bass will play perfectly out of the box. The matching serial nos. are B5791, which dates to 1982, making this one of the last Mark I made. The BAM case is in excellent condition. The m'piece is a Selmer C85 120, again in very good used condition. A sling is provided in addition to the original floor peg. NB. The pictured Bass stand is not included.
