Matched Pair of Leblanc Clarinets
A fine matched pair of Leblanc Paris clarinets, which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This pair was a gift to the Purcell School, and is sold on by them to raise money for further instrument purchases. This pair is in good condition with no cracks or damage, excepting minor surface marks commensurate with its age. Both are enhanced Boehm with a fork Eb/Bb in the LH. Both instruments have had a full re-pad in Pisoni Premium Deluxe fish skin pads and are sold with our full 1 year warranty. The Bb has matching serial nos. 15409, these serial numbers indicate that the clarinet was made in the 1960s, at this time this was Leblanc's top professional model. The key work is in Silver plate, and is in very good condition. The A has matching serial nos. 13645. The key work is in Silver plate, and is again in very good condition. The top tenon ring of the barrel for the A has been replaced by a Selmer tenon ring at some point in the past. The m'piece is an original Leblanc, as supplied at the point of initial sale. The case is a B&H, in fair condition, it still latches and protects the pair well. This pair represents outstanding value for money and play evenly, and very well in tune across the range.
