A nice condition King Lemaire, Paris, Bb clarinet. Strasser, Marigaux, & Lemaire are best known for their world class oboes but they also made clarinets. This Lemaire clarinet is made of ebonite but the upper joint is metal lined, presumably to aid with stability in an extremely hot climate. King were the USA importers for SML, and generally clarinets with this stamp seem to have been intermediate models. There is no damage to the ebonite body. The Nickel plate key work is in good order. The pads are used fish skin but sealing well. The m'piece is a new student model, and the used Yamaha case is in good condition.[ NB Not pictured.]
