OUT ON APPROVALA good condition Selmer, Paris, enhanced Boehm Bb Clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The clarinet has a large bore and hexagonal speaker tube mounting, but it has a slightly smaller [0.1mm less diameter] bore than a true Series 9. This clarinet has 7 rings, rather than 6, allowing for a fork Eb/Bb in the LH. The Nickel Silver plated keywork shows some plating loss, mainly to the ring fingers. The Grenadilla wood is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs, apart from one minor chip to the top of the upper joint. The clarinet has fish skin pads throughout all pads are are in good used condition. The matching serial numbers are W1333, dating to 1970. The barrel is a Yamaha of 66mm, which is a close match to the bore, and tunes the clarinet well. The case is in good condition, and the supplied m'piece is a Selmer HS**.
