An early Selmer Mk VI Alto saxophone, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The Alto is an iconic example of the famous Mark VI, which many feel has not been equalled since by Selmer. The original lacquer shows much wear commensurate with age and usage. It is important to remember that this fine example has been much used and played, as befits a superb playing Mark VI. The instrument has been down to our workshop for a partial service to get it in good playing condition. The serial numbers are 60706, which dates to 1955. The supplied case also shows much wear but latches securely.
