Buffet, E11 C Clarinet
A very good condition Buffet E11 C clarinet, in Grenadilla wood. The E11 C is Buffet's semi-professional model, and this example has matching serial nos. 000435 The Silver plated key work is in pristine condition. All pieces are matching and original. The instrument has used fish skin pads throughout in good condition. The wood of the main body wood is in perfect condition, with no cracks chips or damage, but there is a tight hairline crack to the bell, of about 3 cms length which we have filled and sealed in our workshop, see photo 5. This has absolutely no effect on the playability of the clarinet, and our repair is warranted for 1 year. Current Buffet E13's and E11's are giving a lot of trouble with shrinkage and wood movement, these problems commenced when Buffet moved the manufacture of these models from Germany back to the old Leblanc factory in France. Fortunately this instrument pre-dates this; it was made in Germany. The E11 C is an ideal purchase for the player who wants to use the same mouthpiece that they currently use on their Bb instrument, as the instrument tunes well with all standard French bore Bb m'pieces. The supplied Buffet case has some scratches to the exterior, & slight interior stains, it is in good used condition.
