Boosey & Hawkes 1010 A Clarinet
NB The Bb is sold only the A is available, with 62.0mm barrel and in double case with dust cover. A fine condition pair of B&H Symphony 1010 clarinets which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, having belonged to the late Allan Ryder. These Bb of this pair of 1010s has had much use, the A, less so. The instruments have used "Gordon Beeson" tan leather pads throughout in used condition. The Bb, matching serial nos. 533070 [dating to the early 1980s], has no wear to the silver plate, only some natural tarnish. There is no damage to the wood, which is in excellent condition. The A, matching serial nos. 334709 [dating to early 1970s] has silver plate in good condition. Again there are no cracks or damage to the wood. All pieces are matching and original. Like the Bb, the A features the later design of Acton patent Vent for improved RH tuning. There are 2 barrels of 62.0mm and 64.5mm. The case is the original, which is in good condition, and comes with a dust cover.
