Matched Pair of Boosey & Hawkes Imperial 926 Clarinets
A very good condition pair of B&H Imperial 926 clarinets which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The 926 Imperial was B & H's top professional model, alongside the larger bore 1010. This pair have been well cared for, and come in the original case which has been well protected by the dust cover. The Bb was serviced in the past by Geoffrey Acton, the designer of the B&H Acton Patent Vent, and his invoice for this is included. Both clarinets have just had a partial service in our workshop, with pads & corks replaced as necessary.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 480984, it has unblemished silver plating throughout. The wood is in fine condition with no cracks or damage. All pads are fish skin in excellent condition, as are all touch and tenon corks. A good condition B&H 926 m'piece is also supplied.
The A has matching serial nos. 466370. As with the Bb the wood & silver plating condition is excellent, and all fish skin pads are also in very good shape. This pair date to the late 1970s & have the advantage of being supplied with 2 original Boosey &Hawkes 926 No. 2 m'pieces, one of which is pristine
