Selmer, Paris, 10S B Flat Clarinet
An excellent condition Selmer 10S clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument has been professionally owned and played by a London professional player. The Selmer 10 Series was the first major model manufactured by Selmer to adopt a small bore undercut design, in the Buffet Crampon manner: Indeed with a bore of only 14.60mm, the 10S is even smaller in the bore than the Buffet R13. The clarinet is extremely lively, easy to play, and has excellent intonation.
This Bb, S/N E6556, dates to 1988 and has Silver plate in superb condition. There are no cracks or damage to the wood which is in excellent order throughout. The original fixed thumb rest has been removed, and replaced with a modern adjustable type. The original screw holes have been left unfilled. All pieces are original and have matching stamps. There are 2 supplied barrels, of 64.5mm and 66.5mm. The clarinet has tan leather pads throughout in good condition. The m'piece is a used Hite. The supplied BAM case is also in fine condition.
