Leblanc Bass Clarinet to low E Flat
This is a very fine G Leblanc Paris Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, model 400, to low Eb. This instrument sits above the Noblet Bass in the Leblanc line up, and was described by them as an entry level professional model. The Nickel Silver key work is in good condition, though there is the usual spot wear to the ring finger touch pieces, and also the throat G# key. This natural for a Bass with matching serial numbers 10286, which probably dates to the 1970s. The wood is in very good condition for a Bass of this age, with no cracks or damage, just a few minor surface marks and scratches. The bell and crook are both in very good used condition with no dents, plating loss or scratches. The Bass has used tan leather pads throughout [ the lower pads have reflectors], which are all in excellent condition, the instrument has been very well maintained. There is a sling hook, with a sling provided. If desired we can fit a new floor peg kit for an additional £100. The case is a BAM in good condition, which comes with carry straps. The m'piece is a used stock Buffet. In summation; This is a very fine responding professional model Bass with an excellent tone. A comparable new Bass today would cost in excess of £5000.
