Selmer, Paris, C Clarinet
This is a Selmer, Paris, C Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument was one of several selected at Selmer Paris by Joe Pacewicz some years ago. Of these, this was the example he preferred. Joe has had a long and distinguished career at RSNO, which latterly has included playing Principal Clarinet.
Selmer Paris C clarinets are considered the finest mainstream produced worldwide, due to their superb tuning and ergonomics. This instrument is pristine, with very good intonation and response. All Silver plated keywork is excellent. The pads on the upper joint are newer whilst on the lower joint, they are the original Selmer pads. The matching serial nos. are F1555, which dates to the late 1980s. All pieces are original including the 2 barrels of 50.5mm and 51.5mm. The case is also an "as new" Selmer. This instrument will play well with all standard Bb clarinet m'pieces, therefore most players use their existing m'piece successfully.
