Buffet RC Full Boehm B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition Buffet RC Full Boehm clarinet, in Silver plate. This instrument features; fork Eb/Bb, LH Ab/Eb, articulated C#/G# & to low Eb. Therefore superior to current Prestige specification. This clarinet could be purchased as an alternative to buying a pair, as A clarinet parts can be successfully negotiated with the extra mechanism and the ability to transpose. There is no damage to the wood, which is pristine. The Silver plate key work is very good throughout, with only slight wear to the 1st RH finger ring, and thumb bush. Indeed the fine quality of this Silver plate contrasts sharply with that found on more modern Buffet clarinets. The instrument has just had a full service at a cost of £199, and the invoice for this is included in the sale. The matching serial nos. are F283110 which dates to 1986. The mouthpiece is a lightly used Vandoren B44. The case is the original Buffet in brown leather, it shows some stains to the interior, and exterior scuffs, but is fully serviceable. Buffet's latest model the BCXXI, now offers a low Eb key, with the suggestion that the throat Bb be fingered as a an overblown low Eb. This clarinet carries a new price tag of over £6000! That fingering option is also possible on the RC Full Boehm, for a fraction of the price.
