Selmer, Paris, Bass Clarinet to low E Flat
This is an excellent condition Selmer Paris Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The only former owner was a West Country based professional, who bought this Bass new. The Selmer Paris Bass is considered the finest in the World due to its excellent ergonomics, and automatic double over-blowing vent for the second register. All silver plated key work is in very good condition with little wear. The serial nos. are A4365 which dates to 1979. The wood is in excellent condition, with no cracks or repairs, just slight surface marks compatible with careful ownership.
We have just fully overhauled this Bass, all pads are brand new Pisoni Tan leather, with reflectors on the largest pads. The Bass is sold with our full 1 year warranty. There is an old minor solder repair to the mounting plate of the upper register key, see photo 5, this aside the bell and crook are in good condition. This instrument will play perfectly out of the case. there is a floor peg to the bell and a spike is supplied. The case is a used Buffet to low C Prestige case, in good condition. The m'piece is a used Selmer C*.
With a comparable Selmer Bass retailing new for £8600, this instrument is superb value for money.
