F A Uebel, Oehler System B Flat Clarinet
This is a handmade Oehler system Bb clarinet in Grenadilla wood, stamped "F Arthur Uebel Markneukirchen ". This instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct.
This Clarinet is in very good condition: NO cracks, marks or damage, and good condition silver plated key work throughout. There are two supplied m'pieces: The original mouthpiece, S/N 8822, is wooden. there is also a "Lebu". Both m'pieces have German facings and require German style reeds. The pads throughout are white leather in poor condition, the clarinet does play, but will need an overhaul. The matching serial nos. on both main joints are 9636-762376. I understand that the first two digits of the longer number, are, in fact, the year of manufacture: 1976. The original case is worn, but functions as it should.
