Conn Pan American Brilliante B Flat Clarinet
A fine condition Pan American Brilliante Bb clarinet. This instrument has all new fish skin pads and is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. We have repaired the upper correspondence arm which was broken off, and it is likely that the instrument was dropped, see photo 10 for a close up of the repair, and also a picture of the damage to the upper tenon of the lower joint. In addition to this repair there is one "ding" to the bell, this aside, the metal, and plating are in fine condition, for a clarinet which likely dates to the 1920's. The original warranty card and manufacturers' booklet are included in the sale. And, as stated. the instrument does play very well, with fine intonation. The original case is supplied, as well as a marching band lyre. These metal clarinets were extremely popular for out door use. Indeed one of the principal purchasers for the Selmer metal clarinet of the period was the US Navy. The supplied m'piece is a Selmer Golden Tone in good condition.
