Matched Pair of Rossi Viennese Bore Clarinets
This matched pair of Luis Rossi Viennese bore clarinets are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. They were bought new in August 2003. The Viennese bore model is based on a Koktan clarinet as was played by Leopold Wlach, Principal clarinet of the Vienna Philharmonic. The sound is dark and creamy, and the intonation is modern and accurate: Exactly as required by today's discerning clarinettist.
The Bb has serial no. V555 and has Silver plate in superb condition. The wood is also in excellent condition throughout, with no cracks or damage. All pads are white leather in good condition. Both clarinets feature a bore of 15.2mm, and a LH Ab/Eb key. There is a fully automatic Bb booster key, and an additional bell vent.
The A, serial no. V382, has wood again in excellent condition. The Silver plate throughout is in pristine condition. As with the Bb all pads are in "as new" condition. There are 4 interchangeable barrels of 57.5mm, 60.0mm, 60.5mm, and 62.0mm. The last owner of the pair, a London based professional has also made some tuning rings for the pair which are included. The m'piece is a Grabner, which has been rebored by Ed Pillinger The case, whilst used, is in very good condition, and comes with keys, & other accessories.
