Buffet Bass Clarinet to low E Flat
This is a superb condition professional Buffet Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb. This Bass has an impressive provenance having been originally owned by the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra and is an outstanding example of a low Eb Bass. It is the veteran of many worldwide famous recordings, and has been exceptionally well cared for by its' last owner a UK based player. It has identical specification to the current Buffet Prestige model, i.e. double overblowing vent, and LH alternative Ab/Eb.
All Nickel Silver key work is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or damage to the wood which is pristine. The bell and crook are both in good condition with no dents, just light surface scratches. The instrument is padded throughout in leather pads of the finest quality, the upper joint having mainly newer tan leather pads, whilst the lower has predominantly white leather. This Bass has just had a thorough check over & regulation in our workshop. The matching serial nos. are 19620 which dates to 1966. The original case is very compact. The lining is worn, but still protects the instrument well, the handle has a tape repair, and the latches are secure. The m'piece is a stock Buffet special edition, " Jacques Millon", in pristine condition. The last owner had a floor floor peg fitted and there is also a sling hook. A Hercules bass stand is also included in the sale, not pictured.
