Yamaha, YCL 650 B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition Yamaha YCL 650 clarinet, which was recently taken in part exchange by Clarinets Direct. The Yamaha 650 is the top selling rival to the Buffet E13. It tends to give less trouble than the E13, because, unlike the current Buffet, the Grenadilla wood moves less, causing fewer problems with sticking joints. Yamaha quality control and build quality are exemplary, and these instruments are easy to live with and perfect for the advancing student. The instrument features an adjustable thumb rest, tapered and undercut tone holes, Silver plated keywork, and a voicing groove to the neck of the bell. The clarinet has just been re-padded in fish skin pads throughout, and is sold with our full Clarinets Direct warranty. The serial numbers are 121866. The instrument has had only a single owner, a music teacher. The bottom of the lower joint has suffered a small chip, which we have repaired in our workshop, the repair is very hard to see, but it is photographed in photo 3. This aside the Grenadilla wood is in excellent condition, The supplied m'piece is an upgrade to the Yamaha Custom 5CM in ebonite, as supplied with the top professional models in the Yamaha range. The original case is in good condition, though there are a few exterior marks to the case cover & some wear to the handle.
