Rossi, French Bore, B Flat Clarinet
This is a new Luis Rossi French bore model clarinet which has been on exhibit at various music trade fairs in Spain. Consequently this clarinet is offered at a over 25% discount on the full new list price of £6395. With a poly-cylindrical bore this clarinet is based on the Buffet R13, though acoustically it is vastly superior. The instrument features a compensating G/D vent which has many benefits, including raising the pitch of the 3rd register; a major shortcoming of the R13 design. In common with all Rossi clarinets the instrument is in a single piece which allows the correct positioning of the C#/G# hole, with additional touch piece for RH 1. This model also has the latest Rossi design of fully automatic AF correction key, which functions off the register key, and corrects the tuning of the low F/C twelfth.
This instrument is in " as new" condition. The wood is in pristine condition, with no cracks or damage. The silver plating is in excellent condition throughout with no wear. The serial numbers are F1220. There are three supplied barrels of 60mm, 59mm and 56mm. The original wooden tenon guards are included. The original case has one slight interior tear to the lining, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
