Yamaha YCL450 B Flat Clarinet
This superb condition Yamaha YCL 450 is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument has been owned from new by an adult amateur and she has taken exemplary care of this clarinet. The fish skin pads are in good condition, with many months of use in them. The silver plated key work is in excellent condition, with no wear. The wood has no cracks or damage, and is in fine order. The serial numbers are 144491. The Yamaha 450 is the top selling rival to the Buffet E11. It has a couple of major advantages over its Buffet rival: 1. The wood tends to give less trouble than the E11, which indeed, has developed such a poor reputation in this regard, that the Buffet E11 "France" is now a deleted model in the Buffet range, and has been re-badged E12. Yamaha quality control and build quality are exemplary, and these instruments are easy to live with and perfect for the advancing student. 2. The instrument has a "voicing" groove in the bell, in common with the more expensive models in the Yamaha range and also the Buffet Prestige RC. The supplied m'piece is an unused Yamaha 4C, as the original owner preferred an alternative m'piece. The original case is in very good condition and comes with the carry straps as well as the instrument manuals.
