Boosey & Hawkes Imperial 926 B Flat Clarinet
This is a rare and fine Imperial 926 Bb Full Boehm Clarinet which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The clarinet was a special order from B&H and has all the "bells and whistles" : Fork Eb/Bb, alternative LH Ab/Eb, articulated C#/G# and low Eb. It has had only one owner from new. The Imperial 926 was manufactured as a professional quality instrument on a par with the Imperial Symphony 1010, but with a bore of 15.0mm, as opposed to the 15.25mm of the 1010.
This Bb, serial no. 120646, which dates to 1956, has Grenadilla wood throughout in excellent condition, with no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate is also very fine with only slight marks, no wear. The instrument has just been overhauled in fish skin pads by Clarinets Direct, and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The supplied m'piece is a new Howarth No. 1 of the correct 926 bore in excellent condition. The case is a B&H double, which is well used but fully serviceable.
