Leblanc, Paris, B Flat Clarinet
This is an enhanced Boehm professional model clarinet made by Leblanc in the 1960's, which gradually evolved into the L7 series of the 1970's. The bore is of medium large size at 14.90mm, and features an expanding cone through the upper joint. The clarinet has both 7 rings, with a fork Eb/Bb in the LH and an articulated C#/G# mechanism. The clarinet is a commission sale.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 15121, and is in outstanding condition for its' age. The German Silver key work is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or damage to the wood, but the top metal tenon ring has a small crack, and we have repaired and glued this in our workshop. All pieces are matching and original including a fine Leblanc m'piece. The case is a custom made Paxman example in excellent condition, with key. The instrument plays with a fine, full sound and good intonation. It would suit a player looking for a professional model on a budget.
