Leblanc L7, B Flat Clarinet
This is a rare L7, professional model Leblanc Paris Bb clarinet. The L7 was the initial model of the L7/L27/L200/L300 series, which were Leblanc's tapered bore upper joint models, and was introduced in the early 1970's.
This Leblanc L7 Bb clarinet is in fair condition, and is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, having come to us via the widow of saxophone & clarinet player here in the UK. The clarinet has matching serial nos. 44503. The nickel silver plate on this instrument shows some wear, mainly to the "pinky" keys and rings. The upper joint has 2 cracks which have been pinned and sealed, and are not visible from the exterior of the clarinet. All pieces are matching and original with Leblanc stamps. The Buffet case shows some exterior stains but is sturdy and protects the clarinet well. The mouthpiece is a Selmer E, an open "jazz" lay in good condition.
