Selmer, Mark VI, Soprano Saxophone
This is a very good condition Selmer Soprano Sax, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The Selmer Paris Soprano is considered the finest in the World due to its excellent ergonomics, and the Mark V1 is considered the epitome of Selmer's production. This instrument has been professionally owned and played here in London, with the current owner, John Sands, having bought it new.
The Soprano has serial nos. 144534, which dates it to 1967. The original lacquer shows normal wear, as seen in the photographs, principally to the palm keys, and bell rim. There are no dents, the instrument has been well cared for. The key work is in excellent condition. This instrument has tan leather pads throughout, which whilst used, are sealing well. The regulation is good, however, to be put into optimum playing condition, the new owner should factor in at least a minor service. The original case is in good used condition. The m'piece is a student model, provided only for play testing.
