Matched Pair of Yamaha CSGH III Clarinets
A pristine condition pair of Yamaha CSGH CUSTOM III clarinets, which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. These instruments have an impressive Provenance having been hand selected from many examples by Colin Parr, ex-Principal Clarinet with the CBSO. Yamaha made great claims for the CSG range; a new bore design is supposed to provide great tonal richness, as found in older instruments made from properly aged Grenadilla. Certainly the design has found much favour with many fine players, including Michael Collins, Nicholas Carpenter and Nicholas Cox.
The Bb clarinet, matching serial nos. 01842 has wood which is finest unstained Grenadilla, without cracks, damage or blemish of any kind. The instrument has excellent condition finest white leather pads with some on the upper joint in cork. The Hamilton plating is in near perfect condition, with only slight wear to a couple of the rings. The A has matching serial nos. 01041. Like the Bb the pads condition is excellent. The wood and Hamilton plating are in perfect condition. There are a total of 4 barrels, and 2 original Yamaha Custom m'pieces are included. The supplied double case is also in excellent condition. This pair represents superb value for money, with a refined tone and superb intonation.
