Yamaha YCL450 B Flat Clarinet
This very good condition Yamaha YCL 450 is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument was formerly owned by a music teacher as a spare. The fish skin pads are in good condition, with many months of use in them. The silver plated key work is in excellent condition, with no wear. The wood has no cracks or damage, and is in fine order. The serial numbers are 139883, and in addition further serial numbers for security have been etched into the wood, QAT103. The Yamaha 450 is the top selling rival to the Buffet E11. It has a couple of major advantages over its Buffet rival: 1. The wood tends to give less trouble than the E11, which indeed, has developed such a poor reputation in this regard, that the Buffet E11 "France" is now a deleted model in the Buffet range, and has been re-badged E12. Yamaha quality control and build quality are exemplary, and these instruments are easy to live with and perfect for the advancing student. 2. The instrument has a "voicing" groove in the bell, in common with the more expensive models in the Yamaha range and also the Buffet Prestige RC. The supplied m'piece is a used Yamaha 4C, which shows some light ligature scratches to the back. The original case is in very good condition.
