Selmer, Balanced Tone, B Flat Clarinet, Bob Wilber Collection
A very fine condition, Selmer, BT Bb clarinet which was formerly owned by the legendary Bob Wilber. This is an enhanced Boehm model with 7 rings and an articulated C#/G# mechanism.
This clarinet has matching serial numbers, L7295, which dates to 1936. The instrument was supplied new by a London dealer, the address was 12 Moor Street, W1. The clarinet is in excellent condition for its' age with no cracks or repairs. The barrel has had the top tenon bushed in metal, and has also been sleeved in ebonite. This is excellent quality work and may well contribute to the extremely fine intonation which this clarinet demonstrates. We have just fully overhauled in finest Pisoni fish skin pads, and the clarinet is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The key work, which is German Silver, shows no damage or wear, but does have a patina commensurate with it's age. The rear of the top joint has a sticker from an American music shop, which presumably did some work on the instrument for Bob. The supplied case is in good condition.
