Noblet, Artist, C Clarinet
This is a Noblet Artist C Clarinet, made by Leblanc, in very good condition. This instrument is the professional Artist model 50S Noblet clarinet, with all parts made of finest unstained Grenadilla wood, unlike some of the cheaper models in the Noblet range. The matching serial nos. are A55522, the wood has no cracks or repairs, though there are some surface scuffs, the worst of which is to the bell, see photo 9. The Silver plate is in very good condition, with no discernible wear. The instrument has white leather pads, and has been to our workshop for a partial overhaul, re-corking and regulation. Most pads are only lightly used, whilst some are brand new. The bore, in common with all other Leblanc made C clarinets, is 14.50mm. The instrument tunes well with the supplied Vandoren B45 mouthpiece. The case is a modern leather gig bag with some stains to the interior. In summation this is a fine tuning C, an entry level professional model, which would match well with the finest French instruments currently available.
