Buffet, Prestige Bass Clarinet to low C
This is a near mint condition Buffet Prestige Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low C, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument was bought new by the parents of a lucky student to further his musical education, which was to culminate with a practical performance for Music A level. Sadly this exam was cancelled, and the Bass is now offered for sale.
All Silver plated key work is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or damage to the wood which is pristine. The bell and crook are both in excellent condition, with only a few light scratches to the bell. The Bass does have a double over-blowing vent, and features alternative fingerings for low D. It has finest Pisoni White Leather pads throughout in good condition. The Bass has been down to our workshop, with touch and tenon corks replaced as necessary, and is well regulated, the playing condition is superb. There is a floor peg to the bell, and the matching serial nos. are H46690 which dates to 2013. The instrument is supplied in the original case, which is in good condition, with only some slight interior wear. The m'piece is the original stock Buffet, which is almost unused, as the owner preferred a Vandoren.
