Noblet, Paris, Professional Bass Clarinet, OUT ON APPROVAL
OUT ON APPROVALThis is a good condition Noblet, by Leblanc, Paris, Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb. This is an early model 60, the entry level professional Bass made by Leblanc, Paris. The Nickel Silver key work shows some slight spot wear, mainly to the ring finger touchpieces, but, for an instrument dating to the 1960s, the plating is in good condition. The wood also shows scuffs and surface marks, and in the past security numbers have been etched into the wood on both joints, and the bell. The crook is in very good condition with no dings or plating wear, the bell has several small dings, but all of these are commensurate with the age, and normal use of the instrument. The Bass has just been completely overhauled in finest Pisoni Premium Deluxe Tan Leather pads, and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. There is a floor peg attachment to the bell with spike & also a sling hook. The matching serial nos. are 5506, dating to the 1960s. The case is an original Leblanc, with the name of the then London Leblanc dealer, Bill Lewington, on the top. It is actually for a low C Bass, but it protects the Bass well. There are scuffs to the exterior and wear to the interior, but the latches are good. The m'piece is a No. 3 Selmer Bundy in good condition. In summation this is a very fine responding Bass, but the cosmetic condition reflects its age and use. It would suit a professional player, or doubler, on a budget.
