Yamaha YCL 62 II B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition professional Yamaha YCL 62 II Bb clarinet. It is received wisdom within the music industry that when Yamaha launch a new product, they will have made every conceivable effort to outdo their competitors, at a considerably cheaper price to the customer. So it was in the 1970's, when Yamaha made their first serious foray into top of the range professional clarinets. The wood was computer controlled, kiln dried, to assist in avoiding cracking, the silver plate, and key work, was of considerably better quality than Buffet. Many players found the ease with which these instruments responded completely won them over. The clarinet model YCL62 II was a professional instrument, which superseded the YCL 62 & YCL 61, in the early 1980's. It featured much hand crafting and hand finishing, included tapered tone holes which were hand undercut. The clarinet was closely modeled on the Buffet R13.
The instrument has no cracks or damage to the wood, which is finest aged, unstained, Grenadilla, there are only a few tiny surface marks . The Silver plated key work is excellent throughout, with no wear. The instrument has just been completely overhauled in our workshop and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The serial nos. are 001484. The m'piece is a stock Yamaha 4C. The supplied case is in very good condition.
