Noblet, Artist, C Clarinet
This is a Noblet Artist C Clarinet, made by Leblanc, in excellent condition. This instrument is the professional Artist model 50S Noblet clarinet, with all parts made of finest unstained Grenadilla wood, unlike some of the cheaper models in the Noblet range. The matching serial nos. are A42039. The Silver plate is in pristine condition, with no discernible wear, apart from the tenon rings on the barrel. This barrel has been shortened with both tenon rings cut down by about 1 mm, but, bizarrely there has been no change to the depth of either tenon. Therefore, when assembled the clarinet is exactly the same length as if the barrel had not been altered in anyway. This is unique in our experience, and it could be that a former owner changed their mind about shortening the barrel after starting the work. The Grenadilla wood is in fine condition throughout with no cracks or damage. The instrument has just had a full overhaul in our workshop and is sold with our comprehensive 1 year warranty. The bore, in common with all other Leblanc made C clarinets, is 14.50mm. The instrument tunes well with the supplied Buffet stock mouthpiece, but will also play well with any modern standard French bore m'piece. This means most players can play their regular Bb m'piece successfully. The case is a Buffet. In summation; this is a fine tuning C, an entry level professional model, which would match well with the finest French instruments currently available.
