Buffet RC B Flat Clarinet
A very fine condition Buffet RC Bb clarinet in silver plate, which is a commission sale. The sole owner is a UK based professional. The Buffet RC model was launched in 1975, and named after Robert Carree, who had had a long career with Buffet Crampon, which culminated in him being chief designer. The RC places the speaker tube higher, and features a slighter wider initial poly-cylindrical bore than the R13. Most players find this results in a warmer, more "spread" tone, than the R13.
This example has matching serial numbers 669332 and was bought new in the mid 2010s. There is no damage to the Grenadilla wood, which is crack and repair free. All pieces are matching and original and stamped "Buffet". The plating overall is excellent, with no discernible wear, only slight tarnish. The instrument has used white leather pads, which are all sealing well, with the register key pad in cork. The supplied m'piece is a stock Buffet. There are 2 Buffet barrels of 65mm and 66mm. The case is the original Buffet in very good condition.
