This is a Jerome Thibouville Lamy C clarinet in Grenadilla wood. From the design of key work and inscription on the bell the instrument would appear to date from the 1920's. There are no cracks or repairs to the wood, though there are minor surface marks and scratches. The Maillechort key work shows some wear, but for a vintage instrument is in good condition. This C plays with modern Bb clarinet m'pieces. The pads are used white leather in good condition. The case is not original, someone has adapted a modern case quite nicely with lots of compartments for reeds and storage. This instrument would suit a player looking for a nice sounding C at a bargain price.
