Leblanc Contra-Alto Clarinet
This is an early model 352 G. Leblanc, Paris, EEb Contra-Alto clarinet, in metal, range to low Eb. This model has a fully automatic single register key touchpiece which operates 2 different over- blowing vents. The body is Nickel Silver, and is in good condition, there is only slight spot wear to the ring finger touchpieces and some minor dings to the bell. The instrument has just had a full and complete overhaul in our workshop and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. In addition Alan Andrews has worked on the Contra, fitting a new tightening nut to the floor peg, and also supplying a custom re-layed Leblanc m'piece, 210 tip by 29mm long. The matching serial nos. on all pieces are 242, which probably dates to the early 1960's, Leblanc serial number lists found on line are unreliable. The original case is in used condition, with stains to the lining and some tears to the fabric. All the latches still function, as does the retaining strap, and the case protects the Contra well.
