Selmer, Series 9, B Flat Clarinet
An excellent condition Selmer Series 9 Boehm Bb Clarinet. The 9* was marketed by Selmer as "pour la musique symphonique", the 9 was "pour le jazz et les varietes." The Series 9 was the last of the wide bore Selmer clarinets. This instrument was used by Adrian Cox to record his latest album Clarinet Fantasy, and it can be heard there demonstrating the flexibility and tonal power that the Series 9jazz clarinet was famed for. The Silver plated keywork shows no plating loss it is excellent throughout. The Grenadilla wood is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. The clarinet has predominantly tan leather pads with cork on the register key. All pads are are in good used condition. The clarinet measures 15.25mm at the top of the reverse cone of the upper joint. The matching serial numbers are W1536, dating to 1965. The supplied case is brand new, and has an exterior zippable pouch with carry straps.
