Amati, Kraslice, E Flat Clarinet
This is an Amati Kraslice Eb Clarinet, made in Czechoslovakia, which was recently taken in part exchange by ourselves. The instrument is in ebonite with a barrel and bell in Grenadilla wood. The tuning is good with the supplied m'piece, and standard French bore mouthpieces, we understand from the previous owner that much after market tuning work was done to enhance this Eb in this regard. The un-plated German Silver keys show a natural patina, appropriate for their age. This clarinet has been through our workshop for a "check down" with touch and tenon corks replaced as necessary. The pads are all very lightly used fish skin. The supplied m'piece is the original in good condition. as is the case. This clarinet would suit a player looking for a bargain priced Eb for occasional use, or a young beginner, with smaller hands, not quite ready for a standard Bb.
