This is Buescher "Truetone" model 141 Alto Saxophone, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. It was formerly owned by a London based professional. It was this model which was closely associated with Johnny Hodges, who played lead Alto for Duke Ellington's Big Band.
This instrument is mechanically sound, in good condition for its age. It has not been re-lacquered. It has been recently re-padded with tan leather pads, all of which are in good condition. The serial numbers are 355846. It has had Norton springs fitted. The supplied m'piece is an Ebolin 6* in good condition, as is the case which is a Pro-tech.
