Adler C Clarinet
A rare Johannes Adler Oehler system C clarinet. Johannes Adler was active in Markneukirchen from 1932 to 1950. This is an unusual C in that it plays with an Eb clarinet m'piece, which is unique in our experience. Despite this, it offers a sweet and warm attractive sound. We have just fully re-padded in finest white leather pads, and commissioned a new m'piece from Ed Pillinger, a P16N which is moderately open and long. The instrument comes with our full 1 year warranty. The wood shows no cracks or damage, apart from the barrel which has a full length surface crack, which we have filled and sealed in the workshop, see photo 5. The German silver keywork is in good condition, with a natural patina due to age. The clarinet plays nicely at A =440 H, and the serial number is 323. The clarinet case is in good condition, but has lost the handle, the outer case cover is generous with carry strap and pouches, it is in excellent condition.
