Leblanc, Symphonie 3, B Flat Clarinet
The Symphonie 3 clarinet was a professional model clarinet offered by Leblanc, Paris, in the 1960's, which gradually evolved into the L7 series of the 1970's. The bore is of medium large size at 15.0mm, which matches the Leblanc Pete Fountain & Dynamic H models.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 2266B, which probably dates to the early 1960's The German Silver key work is in excellent condition. There is one old repaired crack to the upper joint which just misses the top trill key hole, see photos 5 & 6. The crack has been pinned, filled and glued, we have checked it over for seal in our workshop during the course of an overhaul in fish skin pads. The clarinet is sold with our ful1 1 year warranty. All pieces are matching and original. The supplied m'piece is a Vandoren B44 in good condition, as is the Blessing case. The instrument plays with a fine, full sound and good intonation. It would suit a player looking for a professional model on a budget.
