Vito, by Leblanc, Bass Clarinet
This is a good condition Leblanc Vito Bass Clarinet model 7166 to low Eb, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The crook & bell are both in good condition, with only light scratches. Overall the Nickel Silver plating is in very good condition, with no wear. There is a glued repair to the middle of the instrument where there was a crack to the resonite body just above the middle tenon. We have not only glued this but sleeved the bore internally, which is a repair our workshop is most efficient at, as in the past we have had to repair a BBb Vito in this manner. The repair is solid, stable and covered by our years warranty, see photo 10. The Bass has a floor peg attachment, and also a sling hook. The matching serial nos. are 5136D. The majority of the pads are fish skin pads which are a mixture of old and new all are sealing. The mouthpiece is an upgrade to a new Yamaha 4C, and the supplied case is in excellent condition & has rucksack carry straps . This would be an ideal purchase as a first Bass, or for a professional doubler on a budget.
