Chinese, Low C Bass Clarinet
This is a very good condition Chinese made low C Bass clarinet in resin. It has been professionally owned here in the UK, with the current owner having upgraded to a wooden low C Bass. She has taken exemplary care of this Bass, and it has had a partial re-pad recently in white leather, with the larger pads having reflectors. The design is similar to a Buffet Prestige, with alternative low E & D in both LH & RH "pinky" fingers.
Low C# & C are played with the RH thumb keys. The Bass has been upgraded with a D. Hite m'piece, and, with this, the response and tuning are very good [the original m'piece is also included]. The design features the all important fully automatic overblowing vent. The condition of the nickel plating is excellent, as is the condition of the pads. A good quality floor peg, which is grooved is also supplied. The case has been upgraded to a used robust Selmer case in good condition, there are some slight interior stains and exterior scuffs. The two main latches still function as they should but the smaller middle latch has failed. This would make an ideal purchase for a professional on a budget, or an amateur looking for an inexpensive low C Bass clarinet.
