Noblet, by Leblanc, Artist C Clarinet
This is a Noblet Artist C Clarinet, made by Leblanc, in very good condition. This instrument is the professional Artist model 50 Noblet clarinet, with all parts made of finest unstained Grenadilla wood, unlike some of the cheaper models in the Noblet range. The matching serial nos. are B90413, making this example one of the last manufactured. The Nickel Silver plate is in very good condition, with no discernible wear. The Grenadilla wood is in fine condition throughout with no cracks or damage, apart from one tiny scuff, see photo 5. The instrument has used fish skin pads throughout in good condition, with the register key and 1st trill key in cork. The bore, in common with all other Leblanc made C clarinets, is 14.50mm. The instrument tunes well with any modern standard French bore m'piece. This means most players can play their regular Bb m'piece successfully. The case is the original in fine condition.
