Selmer, 10S, B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition Selmer 10S clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The Selmer 10 Series was the first major model manufactured by Selmer to adopt a small bore undercut design, in the Buffet Crampon manner: Indeed with a bore of only 14.60mm, the 10S is even smaller in the bore than the Buffet R13. The clarinet is extremely lively, easy to play, and has excellent intonation.
This Bb, S/N D4191, dates to 1985. It has Silver plate in very good condition, with no discernible wear. There are no cracks or damage to the wood, but there is a split to the metal tenon ring of the shorter barrel, see photo 4. The pads are all super-pads in very good condition, they will be good for several years to come. All pieces are original and have matching stamps. There are 2 supplied barrels, of 64.5mm and 66.5mm. The m'piece is a used Selmer HS*. The supplied original case is in fine condition.
