Matched Pair of Boosey & Hawkes Imperial 926 Clarinets
An excellent condition pair of early Boosey &Hawkes Imperial 926 clarinets which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The 926 Imperial was B & H's top professional model, alongside the larger bore 1010.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 120613, it has silver plating in excellent condition throughout, apart from some wear to the middle tenon ring. The wood is in fine condition with no cracks or damage. Both clarinets have "as new" an leather pads throughout, having just been overhauled prior to sale.
The A has matching serial nos. A120671. As with the Bb the wood condition is excellent. The Silver plating shows no wear, for clarinets dating to the 1956 the condition is superb. There are 2 different length barrels for tuning which are interchangeable. The m'piece is a B&H 593 No.2 of the correct bore for tuning a 926 pair. They come in a Buffet plush double case, with a good quality cover with carry strap, all of which is in very good condition.
