Matched Pair of Boosey & Hawkes 926 Imperial Clarinets
A good condition pair of Boosey &Hawkes Imperial 926 clarinets which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The 926 Imperial was B & H's top professional model, alongside the larger bore 1010. This pair formerly belonged to a UK professional player.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 477436, it has silver plating in good condition throughout. The wood is in fine condition with no cracks or damage. Both clarinets have well used tan leather pads throughout, which are sealing.
The A has matching serial nos. 472830. As with the Bb the wood condition is good, apart from the bell which has a tight hairline crack. The Silver plating shows no wear but there is some heavy tarnish to the LH E/B and F#/C# keys. There are 2 different length barrels for tuning which are interchangeable. This pair come in a Buffet 1960s plush double case, which shows interior staining and exterior scuffs. These excellent clarinets are offered "as is" at a bargain price, the tuning is very good, and with a partial overhaul and regulation will provide their next owner with an excellent pair. We are simply too busy in our workshop to undertake the work for several months.
